In this episode, I take an APC battery backup and modify it to have 3 direct DC output jacks as well as an LED display with voltage readout. This gives me a power supply for my HAM radio as well as many other useful capabilities during a power outage.
Maybe someone already suggested it... But, a "step drill" will let you drill nice round holes without going though the sizes

Never sell your old school tools. They are way better quality than what they make today. I'd store them somewhere just in case. You can hardly find that quality today even with brand names.
I suppose that's true. After reading the description, I see he's planning on providing power to his transceiver using it; so naturally it appeared more like throwing caution to the wind or simply not being thorough enough. The sarcasm stands, but I do see your point.
