This was a terrific experience for me, as I had never
been this close to american mainstream music video before. Getting to
shoot in Los Angeles, and know Pharrell and his all-women entourage was
an incredible adventure, like flying to outter space.
The overall concept was to bring back different approaches in classical musical films as diverse as Vincente Minnell's Brigadoon, Bob Fosse's All That Jazz, Ken Russell's The Boy Friend and Robert Wise's Star!
It was good fun, although my producers Brian Welsh and Tamsin Glasson almost died of a heart attack since we had five days to prep the whole thing.
